Walking down the aisle is one of the biggest life events you will ever have to prepare for and becoming a bride is an incredibly unique journey for every woman. Amidst of finding the perfect wedding dress for your special day, how you look on the day is also paramount. Most brides-to-be will enlist the help of a bridal makeup artist and my advice is no skimping on the beauty department. All eyes are on you so it is important that you choose what is right for you and your special day. Here are a few tips to keep in mind to make the selection process easier and hassle-free, so you can be sure you look gorgeous when walking down the aisle.
1. Finalize Your Wedding Dress
Before you start your way looking for a bridal makeup artist, be sure to have your wedding venue finalized and a clear idea of what you plan to wear on that day. This would help the bridal makeup artist to make recommendations on the makeup and hairstyles suitable for your wedding dress.
2. Research for Your Preferred Makeup Look
Most brides would choose to go with the latest makeup trend, but if you have a preferred makeup look, research for some reference pictures that you could show your potential bridal makeup artist.

A good makeup artist would be able to advise you what works best for your style and will work with you to accentuate your existing features. I would strongly recommend going for single trial makeups with makeup artist that does not require you to make a commitment. During the trial, get to know the makeup artist and their way of working, and determine if you like their style and personality!
5. Deciding the Makeup Artist
The portfolios of a makeup artist makes a good reference to the makeup styles they usually work on. However, a good bridal makeup artist would be able to work with you on any preferred makeup look and experiment different styles and look until you are happy. Your bridal makeup artist should be someone who is able to create a vision for your big day!
